The lake is 145 meters above sea level, has an area of approximately 0.75 km² and is 32.5 meters deep. The main entrance is Gupuelva, which comes from the north. The outlet is through Askerelva, which flows out of the southwest waters.
A popular activity is to run a round along the water. Following a water edge, the whole trail is 4.76 km.
