I made it to Hanau today. Stream like hell until after Frankfurt ( nice city from the water ) but to much metall, smoke and industry. Then the big almighty paddelgod said; – let the bold norwegian get som peace…

So it went to less stream on the nose of my Kjakan. Ship. Small cozy villages poped up, and I met a paddler who said Ill have nice things in front of me. I belive thats the naure of Bayern. Looks like a lot of green on the map, and green is always pop.

Then in the last hour of light I went over to the north side of the river. A man coaching young fresh Germans in the art of rowing. He spoke english and he had the right nice brain… On my question about a place for my tent or a cheap room – his answer was; you can sleep on the floor in our club house, we have warm showers and there is a Greek restaurant on the second floor…

So Im clean, warm and safe in aprox 1 hour from now and I have a own Greek chef in my house 😉

only thing that could top this …. Is if you ask your friends and family to donate to the Red Cross / missing children.

So… The name on my 4 meter board and paddling ship. Google the headline # and Ill tell you about the meetings Iv had with a inspiration, a history, a man, a guiding star, and a Norwegian that we all can learn from and he gave me his books. Ill be back on that… . Go google!

Two old ladies walked faster then I was paddling at 1200 today. The stream is hard and its straight on the nose of Kjakan 24 ( the name of my ship ) – but Iv got happy news. 14000 Norwegian kroner in the bag for Red Cross and the missing children project. Dont know why it went up like that, but Bill Gates will give me good internet soon, and I hope you wip some Euros out of your pals until Bill gives me that net.

And please tell Mr Main River to relax. Its hard days for river bears at the moment.. 😉 – and 14000… I guess 1 Euro is like 7,5 Norwegian Kroner. If the planet dosent need oil tomorrow…, then its 0,7 kroner tomorrow. So please donate.

Så jeg måtte ha meg noe fiks til skipet og han hyggelige ved kaien i Mainz sa; ”zer gut via Hauptbahnhof”. Jeg vet at det er jernbanestasjon. ”Bahne” vet jeg er toget. ”Strasse” vet jeg er gate og skrives med rar ”S”. Så når “einbahnestrasse” dukker opp som skilting så tenker jeg jahwoll her snakker vi bra skilting til bahne…Etter 48 kvartaler på kryss og tvers uten lukten av ett eneste tog eller stasjon kan jeg derfor lære deg det viktigste tyske ordet i verden som er dette skiltet; “einbahnstrasse” og betyr ”enveiskjøring” … Som det er mye av på kryss og tvers i 48 kvartaler av Mainz. Jernbanestsjonen ligger forøvrig rett frem og rett oppe gata.

Motvind is Norwegian for wind against you… I want to hold 6 km in the hour. 7 is nice. 8 is great ! But the wind from my own Norway in the north pushes 4 to 5 km in my face. So Im on bad pace. Try standing on the ice with your pub shoes on and you’ll se what I mean (or feel 😉 )

-but it could be worse, -it could be my child missing. Could be yours. Could be that you click or google #redcross #rodekorsnorge or if you dare… Google #stealing_organs #trafficking ..

Its 9 km to Mainz… The first man ever to paddle standing up from Basel to Mainz, 360 km, is and was Norwegian. The name of the ship is “Kjakan 24”. If Jens (pm) or Harald (king) is away from the office.. Please inform a mate that the flag is on the ship and tell him to donate 2 euro to my and your campain for missing children #redcross. Same goes for Jens and Harald when they come back to the office.

its not over, we have just started. Bjorn,soon finishing Rhine and starting on river Main. on the way to the Black Sea.

300 km done. Taking a hard right turn up the river Main in two days. Its not a main river. The name is Main and goes to Bamberg where some fine German men have made a channel that connects with Donau ( Danube ) .. So that channel is the reason why you can swim, sail or paddel from the Nort Sea and Rotterdam and by fresh water go to Ukraine, Romania or Bulgaria. From Basel where i started…

So very nice! – its enormous, its cool. You have to go there! What? Where?

Well I do see those fantastic first who have donated to the missing children. I see the “likes” but can’t see the money from some pals. I can’t sweat for 10 hours a day and be a free tourist guide.

Tell your mates to donate one Euro and Ill show them pearls they haven’t heard about. Diamonds in Europe.
