-met a group of your fine soldiers in Bamberg. Friendly. Fine. And sponsored me with a box with snuff and a round of schnaps. I dont have any more of that bad snuff habit on my ship. Its my worst habit and also my best pal so… Consider to give your Bamberg lot a week holiday, a bigger pay check, or a treat. They are motivated and proud, miss their family’s and gave a Norwegian a fine evening. They have a bed and bbq in the fjord of Oslo, the west leg when they come.

After Bamberg, when you are on the cycling or paddling path to Nürnberg. The cycling path is on the shoulder of the Main Donau Channel. The signs are clear. The system is organized. Hello, your in Germany, they invented the word organized… Then, do a full stop in Mörendorf. I did that. Im there now. One of the best Gasthof on the planet. Promise… Www.landgasthof-schuh.de Good folks, good food, cold beer, and a warm bed.

Iv left Bamberg or “kleine Venezia” as the Germans call the city. The best Iv seen so far and that’s with Aschaffenburg and Wurzburg as two very close favorite pearls on the river Main. If you like cycling, this is a route to try. If you like paddling, start in Bamberg and go with the flow and stream. Only stupid Norwegians go against 😉 Its history and nice spots around every turn that Main makes and they have maid wine since the first grape was found… So Ill go back and do short daily legs and long evenings with long glasses…

Im in Bamberg. River Main is over. 383 km towards the stream is over. 28 of March is the new flag day for dreamers fools and heroes. To day and every 28 of March, you can, if your a dreamer, a fool, or a hero drink a big beer and please go sputnik balistic and take five…

A dreamer starts to plan. A fool starts to follow that plan. A hero is one who dont stop. You need all three, or be all three to come where Kjakan and Im now.

I got this feeling that creating involvement and hype in 09/10 was easy. The Shirt did the trick.. The cycling was hard, Africa was a special nut to crack. But it went okay… Now Im just wasted. I feel like 300 years old. But not in 20 k from now. Then I need a mate to go nastarovia, slainte, cheers and skaal. Its Bamberg and 380 km up f#@*## stream is finito. Fine. End. Slutt. My brain works best by saying the next 3000 km i better. And I know it is. Its down, its south, its east its good…
